My Wildly Improbable Goals

Back in 2010 I found myself working my way through a book called, “Finding Your Own North Star” by Martha Beck while in the midst of a divorce that I never imagined would be a part of my story.  It was an emotional time where all I thought I knew of my future was ripped away and I was left with an empty canvas on which to create.

In the chapter called, "Dreaming and Scheming", we were encouraged to move from dreaming to intending. Beck wrote, “Human intention is such a powerful force that in legal terms, it’s often more important than actual behavior. That’s because whatever we intend has a very high probability of actually occurring.”

In this chapter there was space to write four of “My Wildly Improbable Goals”, the first 3, by the way, had already occurred within 3 years of writing them! They were related to having a loving relationship with a man who enjoyed being active outdoors, establishing a business teaching Qigong and doing retreats, and exploring New Zealand.

The last goal, however, had eluded me until my recent trip to Paris with friends Kathleen, Barb and Mark.  I had written, “Do a bike trip in the French countryside."

Now I know that there are dozens of things to do and see in Paris that do NOT involve biking in the countryside, but due to my clear intention AND the support of my friends, this lifelong dream became a reality!  I will be forever grateful for all their support of my cycling adventure.

So dear friends, what would be on YOUR list of Wildly Improbable GoalsI guess it’s time I make a new list for myself and maybe we can support one another along the way.  I’d love to hear what surfaces for you!

Meanwhile, enjoy this spring and summer energy, and let it take you to places of healing and joy,

Sandy Salvo

Eight Extraordinary Meridians  Part 3

"Deep within you lies an ancient network of energy pathways - the Eight Extraordinary Meridians—designed to help you transcend the ordinary and embrace a life of vitality, balance, and inner power. Working with these meridians unlocks a deep, primordial energy that flows through you—the very essence of life itself. While this energy moves invisibly, like the wind through the trees, it animates every part of your being. Its presence is undeniable: the vitality in your movements, the spark in your emotions, the force that keeps you connected and alive."   -Lee Holden

In Part 3 we will learn about the Chong Meridian, also known as “the sea of blood” and “the sea of source energy”, which runs through the center of the body from the crown of head to the pelvic floor and plays an important role in helping you stay true to yourself...
